If you are Windows 10 Home edition user then try this method to disable updates through Windows services. We just want to stop Windows from downloading and installing updates automatically so the second method to turn of auto updates is not suitable, because its totally disable the Windows update services.
If you have only one option to choose and disable Windows update service then you should consider Show or hide updates tool from Microsoft.

If you have upgraded to Windows 10 recently that you have option to go back to your pervious operating system with in a month of upgrading to Windows Going back to Windows 7 or Windows 8. Now, when you try to check for updates from Windows 10 updates settings then you will see problem installing updates 0x error.
To turn updates on again you need to start the Windows update service and set the startup settings back to Manual. Thank you, but I am not looking to disable them, I just want to stop the auto download, so I can download and install when I choose, not when Mr. Microsoft wants to do it. That is very frustrating. 最初のエラーetcの設定 この記事、助かります！ psexecも使い、記事の設定を一通り終えました。 質問なんですが。。。 windows update medic serviceの「最初のエラー」「次のエラー」の項目を「何もしない」に設定したいです。 サービスからだとアクセスが拒否されてしまうので、レジストリを書き換えることも考えて調べていたんですが、いまいち理解できてなくて。。 failureActionsに3項目と、時間がそれぞれ入っているようなことはわかったんですが、 全然理解出来ている気がしなくて。。。 WaaSMedicSvcをエラー時に起動させないよう方法を教えて頂きたいです！.

Re: windows update medic service susuさん お役に立てているようで嬉しく思っております。 新しいご質問につきまして以下の通り回答いたします。 １．REMはご認識の通りコメントとなっており、変更点が分かりやすいように残してみました。必要が無ければバッチファイルには載せなくても良いと考えておりますが、レジストリの読み込みにはメモリキャッシュで動作するサービスも存在するかもしれませんので、レジストリを変更しても再起動までは変更前の動作を行うアプリ・サービスも存在すると思います。よってscコマンドとregコマンドの両方で設定をしたほうがより強固になると考えます。逆に２重になることによる不具合はあり得ません。（サービスの管理やscコマンドで無効にするとレジストリも変更されます。） ２．UpdateAssistantは私のPCには存在しません。おそらく新しいバージョンのものか、Windows10 Homeに存在するものかと考えますが、いづれにしても更新プログラムをダウンロードするサービスらしいですので、バッチ等に組み込んだ方がよろしいかと考えます。（あくまで自己責任ですが） また、susuさんのPCにないタスクにつきましては、私のノートPCに存在したタスクになります。おそらくノート用のPCにのみ存在するもの、もしくは特定のバージョンにのみ存在するタスクとなります。PCに存在しなければ無視しても構いません。 余談となりますが、Windows10が登場して様々なデバイス・バージョン等が派生し、それに伴いMicrosoftの対応範囲も広がったと思いますが、それが原因で対応しきれない状態に陥ったのではないかと私は推測しています。 今後それぞれのデバイスに対処するためには各々独自の対応が必要とされているのではないでしょうか。.
Re: windows update medic service susuさん 当ブログをご覧いただきありがとうございます。 取り急ぎ windows update medic service のサービス無効化のコマンドを追記しました。 また、その際、アクセスが拒否されましたので、他のサービスに対しても合わせてコマンド変更しております。 調べましたところ、windows update medic serviceはWindows10vで追加された機能となっていまして、WindowsUpdateの機能不具合を自動修正してくれるサービスだそうです。しかしながら、私のPCではwindows update medic serviceが無効になっていませんでしたが、今現在もWindowsUpdateはされておりません。他にも要因があるのではと思い、他の最新バージョンのPCと見比べてみましたところ、タスクスケジューラにも変更があったようですので、合わせて追記させていただきました。 大変お手数ではございますが、ご確認の上お試しいただきますようお願い申し上げます。 尚、レジストリ変更に関するトラブル等に関しましては全て自己責任でよろしくお願いいたします。 以上、よろしくお願いいたします。.
windows update medic service 以前質問させていただいたものです。特に問題なくつかえていて大変助かっておりましたが、何かの拍子で自動でupdateされてしまいました。batファイルをスケジュラに登録していて、パソコン起動時はサービス管理ツールからwindows updateは無効になっていることを確認しておりますが、いつの間にかwindows update medic serviceというものがインストールされていて、これもパソコン起動時は手動となっておりますが、実行はされておりません。しかしネットにつなげる？となんらかのトリガーで実行されてしまい、updateが始まってしまいます。こちらもアクセスが拒否され無効にできません。windows update medic serviceを無効にするのをbatファイルに追加すればよいでしょうか。もうしわけありませんが、上記batファイルに無効にする方法を追加していただけませんでしょうか。よろしくお願いします。.
