Resolved my issue. You may get an error if you try to install the bit version of Office and you currently have the bit version installed or vice versa. For steps to install an offline version of Office, see Use the Office offline installer and select the correct tab for your version of Office.

I’ve had similar issues with Quickbooks and turned out it was the. NET framework. I would update that and see if that’s the problem for you too. It was determined that if the computer is joined to domain, therefore the above GPO applies, that’s when and only when we have problem installing Office. I do not have any previous Microsoft Office installed; therefore, does not need to be removed. Everything on this laptop is working fine because there are zero issues installing windows updates, ASUS updates, games, etc. Furthermore, just in-case the formatting has failed on the HDD, I used “Microsoft fix it” software to uninstall any Microsoft Office traces.
