In my case it was a little different, in the way I knew I had something detected by it, but wanted to keep, thus I marked them “It’s Ok” “It’s safe” don’t bother me with them anymore. Well, it seems that albeit it had the green icon, it still madly accessed the disk wanting to do something related to them Nevertheless, for me the solution was even more simple no need to get another antivirus : I just told Defender, please go ahead and ignore the folder where you find the threats
