I was able to download and install the Pro version no problem from Amazon. Once I got the program installed on Windows 10 Professional I was able to open my Quickbooks data and convert it to the new version without a problem. I checked out the data and memorized reports and everything looked good. I then tried to export transactions from the Intuit Online Payroll that I subscribe to into Quickbooks Pro and had no problems.

This worked perfectly. I was forced to update my password to a stronger password which I wasn’t thrilled about. The new password must be at least 7 bytes with at least 1 upper case character and 1 numeric character.

No special character was required. The program gave a message that the password should be changed every 90 days. I don’t know if that means they will force the change. One problem I had was that when I elected to “Activate Quickbooks” I had to fill out an online page with a lot of information like name, address, company name, company address, email addresses, phone numbers, marketing questions etc. Many fields are mandatory. I typed it all in and hit submit and got “Session Timed Out”.

I almost screamed, then went through activate again this time more quickly and I got a message that Activation was successful. I may have reduced the time from 10 minutes to 5 minutes. I have to believe the timeout was a fluke. In my opinion Quickbooks makes the job of accounting for a small company somewhat easy. The interface changes for me are an improvement over my older version.

Overall I rate this program very high. Was on QuickBook Pro with payroll service and needed to upgrade to Quickbooks Desktop Pro, since payroll service support was going away. It was seamless and fairly quick and painless, utter shock. I have windows 10 with quickbooks pro with payroll service.

Design is sleek much like version. I didnt have the password or license issue like everyone else. I did save a copy of my file onto my computer as the original files lives on the network.
